After 27 long years of restoration, the beautiful Door of Paradise of the baptistery in Florence has been unveiled to public again. The door was devastated by the flood in 1966 and it was replaced with a copy.

Today the masterpiece realized by Lorenzo Ghiberti is sited in the Museum of Opera of Duomo near the Duomo itself, sheltered by a special coverage in order to preserve it from renewed damage.
